BUDDAH'S TOP 15 TALKING HEADS SONGS

  1. Burning Down the House.....I just like songs about things on fire...I think.
  2. And She Was.....A recognizable and catchy rock music classic.
  3. Once In a Lifetime.....By 1980 they were already entrenched with songs like this gem.
  4. Psycho Killer.....This is it. The song that I heard that one day after school...I was hooked.
  5. Life During War Time.....It peaked at #80 in 1979, and is more popular now than then.
  6. Wild, Wild Life.....David Byrne is a true performer.
  7. Road to Nowhere.....It's the last track and one of the best from the "Little Creatures' album.
  8. This Must Be the Place.....The Talking Heads were described as new wave band back in 83.
  9. Love For Sale.....It's a great groove from the opening note. Great beat.
10. Stay Up Late.....It has a great sound to go with some great lyrics and is always a must hear tune.
11. This Must Be the Place (Naïve Melody).....Funky, in only a way these guys can pull it off.
12. Swamp.....Winding down with a more obscure cut.
13. Uh oh, Love Comes to Town.....An early song that defines their musical style.
14. Blind.....Released as a single from their final studio recording "Naked" in 1988.
15. Found a Job.....What a nice little 5:00 jam, right here.

UNDERRATED SONG: Thank You For Sending Me an Angel.....This song just has a good crisp sound to it.
OVERRATED SONG: Take Me To the River.....Talking fish product of the 90's played this song and ruined it for me. Not my favorite anyway. What were they thinking?
DIAMOND IN THE ROUGH: Girlfriend is Better.....An energetic girlfriend song? Why not?
ALBUM TO LISTEN TO: This is a real toss up. I'm a fan of "Talking Heads 77" and "Little Creatures", but I'm taking the easy way out with a 'Stop Making Sense" soundtrack selection.
