BUDDAH'S TOP 15 DEEP PURPLE SONGS

  1. Smoke on the Water.....No real surprise. It's the song everyone learns to play guitar to.
  2. Hush.....It's hard to believe this goodie has been around since 1969.
  3. Space Truckin'.....A great road trip tune.
  4. Highway Star.....Classic Purple with classic guitar work.
  5. Burn.....This is one of their hardest rocking songs.
  6. Knocking at Your Back Door.....Just when I thought they were done, this gem from the 80's.
  7. Woman From Tokyo.....Classic lyrics. Classic tune.
  8. Black Knight.....It truly rocks out. Guitar riffs, and then some.
  9. Nobody's Home.....Another 80's hit from the "Perfect Strangers" album.
10. Kentucky Woman.....From the "Book of Taliesyn" which has an awesome album cover.
11. Strange Kind of Woman.....One of their songs of perfection all the way around. Very 70's.
12. Perfect Strangers.....I always dig this self titled track
13. Stormbringer.....Great singing, and Ian Paice shines as a classic rock drummer on this one.
14. Speed King.....A hard driving rock and roll tune from "Deep Purple in the Rock".
15. Stargazer.....The guitars on this song has a Montrose flavor throughout it.

UNDERRATED SONG: Pictures of Home.....Listening to it as I type. It's typical Purple sound. So, it's good.
OVERRATED SONG: Child in Time.....I know, the heavy duty fans will cringe. Never liked it.
DIAMOND IN THE ROUGH: Not Responsible.....A nice track from the unheralded "Perfect Strangers" album from 1984.
ALBUM TO LISTEN TO: "Machinehead has always been my go to album. The live "Made in Japan" comes in a close second. Honorable mention to the "Perfect Strangers" record from the latter days.
